a moment of worship…a moment of contemplation…a moment of enjoyment

turning over a page

Today, I turned over a page of my calendar to the month of April.  Just a mere blink of an eye, 3 months have already passed.  There are still a number of things that I had planned at the beginning of 2009 that are still not yet done....like updating this blog more regularly for example Smile hahaha.  Others like to read more, pray more, walk more in the Spirit, call my parents more often etc.  As I turned over the page, it is a new start for me again - new month, new season, new growth in God, new love for Jesus, new convictions....and hopefully new efforts to write in this space more often.....Smile

You can start something new today too.  Maybe you're like me, have already forgotten about some of your new year's resolutions.  Today can be a new day for you too - 1st of April.

resurrect

Have been on a blogging holiday for one year... oops....

Looking back at 2008, I am so thankful and grateful to God for all that He has done, and blessed me with.  Even when I muck up so many times, He always graciously extends His love & grace to me, and melts my heart towards Him again and again.  With all my heart and soul, I just want to say thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank YOU Jesus!  You're the Best!  I pray, may my conviction be like Mother Teresa's:

"I will refuse Him nothing."

Hope Johannesburg Praise & Worship

It always intrigues me to see how different cultures praise & worship God.  Living in more Western countries, I've mainly known Western-styled praise & worship - pop, rock, gospel, hillsongs, planetshakers.  Here's a glimpse of how our friends in Hope Joburg praise & worship God (compliments of Ps Jeff).  Though the style of our worship are so very different, our love for God and our vision is the same.  This is such a cool thot!

Once lost...but now is found! Miracle!

These are MIRACLES about my house key, security remote and garage remote. 3 simple items that God can use to demonstate His daddy love for me

It was immediately after the Oceania Convention in Melbourne.  After a long day of lugging huge & heavy luggages around Melbourne city, walking around the whole day & rushing to the airport, all I wanted to do at 12midnight after touching down in Brisbane was to sleep in my comfortable, greatly-missed futon bed.  Arriving at our doorstep and digging into my bag, suddenly realised that my keys & remotes were not in where they were supposed to be!!  & what's more, our other house-mate was supposed to be in Byron Bay.  This was not good...NOT GOOD at all.  Anyhow, Sarah & myself decided to call our house phone.  It was a LOOOONG shot, but hey, no harm trying rite?  And guess what!  PQ was home!  She didn't go Byron Bay after all!  Wow...can u imagine how relieved we felt!  This is MIRACLE NUMBER 1.

Anyway, my keys & remote were still missing.  Melb side couldn't find it in the OC Lost & Found.  I was imagining them to be lying on the streets of Melbourne somewhere.... lost....gone.... Forever...............................................

Last Friday, we had Belle come to share during an NG ladies night.  As she was going home, she realised that she couldn't find her car keys.  So I helped to look around for them for her.  As I was looking in her bag, I saw what looked like a key-chain.  Pulling it out, it looked utterly familiar!!.........*dramatic pause*....... It was MY house keys!!!!!!!!   I was shocked, surprised, elated, delighted, happy beyond words!!!  Belle said she found them in her car (together with several other 'lost' items).  Sheepishly, I asked her if she also picked up my garage remote.  After thinking for 2 seconds (literally), her face lit up.  She ramaged thro her bag and pulled out my lost garage remote!!!!!  I felt as if I had found a long-lost friend!!  It's definitely MIRACLE NUMBER 2!  Now, think together with me....WHO in the world would carry around in their handbag a set of keys which does not belong to them, and they have no idea who the owner was!  What are the chances of Belle misplacing her car keys (ok...this may not be uncommon); of me looking in her bag (instead of someone else); and of her carrying this set of keys around!  It has to be God.  And I think He's got a real sense of humour.  Yeah! That's my Daddy!   (by the way, Belle did also find her car keys in the end )

Now u probably think, May's a real blur queen...misplaces things easily.  If u know me, I'm not that sort (ok...tho in some other things I can be a tad blur).  Even Ellen said, when I told her that I lost my keys and bag (that's another story altogether) in Melb, "you're not usually like that!"  But thro this God taught/showed me several things:
(1) learn to let go of material things
(2) trust Him more
(3) God revealed that the joy & elation of finding something that is lost, is like when a lost soul comes back to Him
(4) that God's love is truly WONDERFUL! AMEN!
